Spot Cuts

Many people are not familiar with the concept of "spot cuts". When water penetrates bricks and freezes into ice, the faces of the bricks can fall right off thus leaving even larger areas for water to seep in.

Spot cuts are used to help prevent the problem from spreading, and this is where individual bricks or a small group of bricks are taken away because of spalling or cracks. We'll make sure that the new bricks we use to replace the old ones will match the current color and style of your already-existing bricks, as close as possible.

Mortar Joint Repair (Chimney Repointing)

Water can enter your chimney through a variety of ways, and one of the ways is from missing mortar joints. Water will keep causing damage as it sinks further into the aggregate, and this is why mortar joints need to be ground out and then replaced with brand-new mortar that matches the original color.

Repairs for Your Chimney Crown

One of the first lines of defense against weathering is your chimney's mortar crown, but the crown will have to be repaired or replaced eventually over time since it will crack and deteriorate and allow water to enter the chimney structure.

Our crew will prepare a special mortar mix that is durable and made to last to remedy the chimney crown's damage, or they can simply replace the crown without difficulty.

Roof Flashing Replaced or Resealed

The area where the roof meets the chimney is protected by the chimney flashing. It is sealed by silicone, and the silicone will have to be replaced once it starts wearing away with age.
